we are getting screwed by this war . . . .

My most honest observation is that this war in Afghanistan is, at best, a mis-directed cluster-fuck . . . . or, even worse, perhaps it’s a carefully orchestrated implosion which some group of assholes . . . . somewhere and somehow has managed to benefit from. This war has gone on longer than any war we have ever been remotely ‘proud’ of and to what end . . . . the things that come to mind are opium fields . . . . and money laundering. And by the way, I’m willing to bet it has nothing to do with 9-11 . . . . something more like oil and natural gas . . . our greatest friends and worst enemies . . . all at the same time.

Now the government says they’ve misplaced approx 9 billion or so in the Iraq war to due shoddy accounting practices . . . . people should be in jail for that kind of shit. for the record I'm all mother-fucking 'bailed-out'. this country is heading to hell on an express train hand-basket. The national debt is atrocious and NO I do not think we can spend our way out of it.

This has nothing to do with being a democrat or a republican . . . this is about being a country – which was once a great thing that we and our ancestors built together. Decency, fairness, accountability, responsibility, opportunity . . . these are our values – do not let them be bastardized.

If anything is going to save this country it is the people – that’s how it all started and that is how it will not end. We are not stupid – we are not malicious or mis-aligned – we are great – we do the right thing and that is why the rest of the world respects us. If we lose touch with that, we will cease to exist in a truthful sense.

I think the election of Barack Obama has cleansed our political palate . . . . we’ve had the right and then the left and now it’s becoming more obvious that the only place we can really be is in the middle. There are negative forces on both sides and we have to form a new kind of alliance – an alliance based on truth and virtue – not war, derision and/or indecent behavior.
